Blazen

Blazen has acquired such a following that we decided he needed his own web page. He has won the hearts of many who have met him and continues to amaze us all in his natural abilities and joy in life. This guy is so special and I am grateful everyday for the chance to ride this horse.

Schooling at home

Blazen showed in 3rd level in 2005 and qualified for both ABIG and SWDC. We placed 6th and 4th respectively in those classes.

We will show 4th and Prix St Georges in the spring of 2006 with the opening show being the Houston Frostbite the first weekend of March. Wish us luck!

Update March 2006

Blazen once again stepped up to the plate at the Houston Frostbite show. He scored a 55% in his warm-up 4-2 test and then went on to score a 57.750% in his first time out Prix St Georges test. On the second day he scored a 58.261% in his 4-3 test and won the class. To finish up he scored a 60.1% in his Prix St Georges class and placed 3rd in a large class!! Yeah Blazen!

Update April 2006

Blazen wowed 'em at the spring San Antonio Dressage I & II shows starting out with a 68.9% in his 4-3 class!! He scored a "10" for a halt-reinback movement in this test as well!!! In his Prix St Georges class he scored a 66%! The following day he scored a 60.1% in his 4-3 test and a 58% in his Prix St Georges class. These scores earned him Arabian High Point both days and Reserve Champion 3rd-4th level horse and Reserve Champion Prix St Georges.

He is now qualified at both ABIG and SWDC in 4th and Prix St Georges. AND he has helped me earn my Silver medal!!! Thank you Blazen!! He has also added to his ever-growing crowd of fans. He is proving to be a great ambassador for the Arabian breed!

Update October 2006

Blazen continues to improve and advance in his training. We went to the Windy Knoll Fall I and II shows in September and showed in Intermediare I. His first time out, his rider wasn't with the program and he scored a 56% and placed 2nd in his class. The following day we got it together and scored a 60.1%! Blazen just seems to like it better the harder it gets!

Our next outing will be the ABIG and SWDC Championship show at Katy Texas the first weekend of November. His stablemate Kaliedoscope will also be showing at 3rd level.
